What is MiFi?
MiFi is a small, portable wireless router that creates a personal WiFi network using the 4G and 5G mobile networks instead of a phone line. Put a data SIM in it, switch it on, and it gives phones, laptops and tablets nearby a WiFi connection, anywhere there's mobile signal. No landline, no engineer, no installation.
What's the difference between MiFi and a dongle?
A dongle usually plugs into one laptop by USB and connects only that device. A MiFi is standalone: it runs on its own battery or power and shares its connection with many devices over WiFi at once, like a mini home router you can carry. For a household or small team, MiFi is usually the better fit.
Can I hire a MiFi instead of buying one?
Yes. We hire out unlimited-data 5G MiFi routers from £35 a week, with no contract, no deposit and no credit check. It arrives next working day pre-configured, and you post it back free when you're done.
Is the data on a hired MiFi unlimited?
Yes. Ours comes with a genuine unlimited data SIM already fitted, no top-ups and no cap we add, on the strongest network for your postcode. The network's own fair use policy applies.
