Rent vs buy

Why rent a dongle instead of buying one?

Buying a dongle makes sense if you need internet forever. For anything short or uncertain, a move, a gap before broadband, a few months in a new place, you end up owning hardware you will not use again, still topping up data. Renting skips all of that.

Nothing to buy

No £30 to £100 upfront for a device. You pay a flat weekly rental and that's it. No deposit, no credit check.

Unlimited, not top-ups

No allowance ticking down, no buying more data mid-month. Genuinely unlimited for normal household and small-business use.

Latest kit, and we cover it

A current 5G WiFi 6 router, coverage-matched to your postcode. If it ever fails, we replace it free. A dongle you bought is yours to fix.

FAQ

Dongle questions, answered

What's the difference between this and a pay as you go dongle?

A pay as you go dongle is a device you buy outright, then keep topping up data that runs out. Ours is a rental: you pay a flat weekly price, the data is genuinely unlimited with no topping up, and you post it back free when you're done. No upfront hardware cost and nothing to own once your need has passed.

Is the data really unlimited?

Yes. There's no allowance to top up and no cap we add. Your dongle runs on the mobile network's genuine unlimited tariff, so stream, work and video call as much as you like for normal household use. The network's own fair use policy applies.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. There's no contract, no credit check and no deposit. Rent from one week, extend for as long as you need at £14 a week, and stop simply by posting the router back with the prepaid label.

What if it stops working?

We replace it, at no cost to you. When you buy a dongle and it fails, that's your problem to solve. When you rent from us, a faulty unit is ours to sort, and our 48-hour money-back guarantee covers you if the signal disappoints at your address.

Can I keep it long term?

Yes. Keep it a week, a month or a year. Extend anytime for £14 a week. If you'll genuinely need internet for years a fixed contract is cheaper, but for anything short or uncertain, renting avoids the upfront cost and the commitment.
